Water Bottle Cage

Brooklyn bottle cage - Kind of tight

I love my Brooklyn Roebling bicycle, and bought the bottle cage the same time. The cage is nice looking on the bike, is lightweight, and definitely does its job. However, so far, every bottle that I've put in it just barely fits. It's tight to the point where it scrapes painted logos off the bottle. Maybe this needs to be manually stretched out, but that's been my experience so far.

Thanks for sharing Gregory. We reconfirmed with our supplier and our team tested with a standard bicycle water bottle (73-74mm diameter) without issue. There are so many water bottles on the market now and unfortunately many are not specific to bikes. We're glad you're enjoying your Roebling and we are thrilled to have you in the Brooklyn Bicycle Co. family. -Ryan Zagata

Purchased online, then the bike was sent to a very convenient bike shop for me.
Smooth and easy process!!!

Thanks so much for sharing Sue. We're thrilled you're enjoying your new Brighton 7 cruiser bike and we're honored to have you in the Brooklyn Bicycle Co. family. -Ryan Zagata

Great bike

This bike was exactly what I was looking for , a simple vintage styled bike. It rides well, the shipping process was smooth, couldn’t be happier. I added a brass bell and some canvas saddlebags, get compliments all the time on it.

Thanks so much for sharing Nathan. We're thrilled you love your Driggs and we're delighted to have you in the Brooklyn Bicycle Co. family. -Ryan Zagata

Love the bike and others love it too!

I bought this bike for casual exercise along the Hudson River bike path in lower Manhattan. It’s perfect and I have been asked many times who makes that bike. It has a distinctive design and the gearing—it’s a low maintenance three-speed—is smooth and well suited for flat terrain or slightly rolling hills. Love the blue color, but I spotted a handsome black one peddling in the opposite direction last week!

Thank you for sharing Mark. Next time stop that other rider and give him a warm hello. Glad the bike is delivering as promised. -Ryan Zagata

Good Purchase Decision

As a former professional bicycle racer with a few Ti road bikes in my garage, I wanted a “city bike” to run errands and ride to the beach (a short distance from my retirement townhouse). I looked at used bicycles at my shop in PA and SC, but decided to buy new. Researched and spoke w Pres. of Co. and staff. Made purchase and was exceptionally pleased with ease of delivery and assembly by one of the company’s authorised bike assemblers, “Paul the Bike Guy” in Bolivian, NC. (Who did an excellent job for a one-man shop and I recommend him too if needed in northeast SC or southeast NC based upon this experience.) Bicycle was as expected, assembled as wished, and performs as desired. I
highly recommend this company and process. Robert Donaldson, Esq.

Thanks for sharing your top to bottom feedback and glad to have you as part of the Brooklyn Bicycle Co. family Robert. We've got some tremendous partners and we're thrilled that Paul was able to meet all expecations. -Ryan Zagata

25 miles in

I got my bike about 2 week ago and I am pleased. I contacted Ryan who supported me in making a decision about which size and style. We are the same height, 6 feet, so that made it easy. I chose a Roebling 21".
I was looking to replicate my experience with my Bridgestone X0-4, which I bought in 1993. Ryan said the X04 designer, Grant Petersen, was on their team to give input as well.
It was sent to local bike store in town that I was already familiar with and assembled in a week or two.
I ride down rail trails and country roads. It is very fast. 9 gears do it all. I go up a long quarter mile hill with a 6% grade and in 1st gear I can get up the hill without standing over the handlebars..so seated. I weave a bit but not much.
I recommend!

Thank you so much for leaving such a favorable review for our Roebling bike. We are thrilled to hear that you are enjoying it and that our team was able to help you choose the perfect size and style. It's great to know that you were also able to connect with one of our designers for input. We hope you continue to have a great experience riding your Roebling on rail trails and country roads. Happy riding! - Ryan Zagata

Best bicycle west of the Hudson

Love the bike. Live in a hilly terrain and it is perfect. Have had it for about a month and have been riding it 50+ miles everyday; no complaints.

Thanks so much for sharing Alonso and we're thrilled to have you back for your 2nd bike. We like to think we're the best bicycle east of the Hudson also. -Ryan Zagata

Nice addition to my Driggs 3

I bought my Driggs 3 a few years back and decided I wanted something that could easily hold a few items. The bike crate is perfect--I can just drop a small bag and water bottle in, and be on my way . . .

Thanks for sharing Ted. We're glad you're getting good use out of the bike and the bike crate. -Ryan Zagata

Rambling on Roebling

My second Roebling is great. I especially like the gear shifting levers on the same side of handle bar as opposed to my previous model. All transactions with Brooklyn Bike and my local bike shop was efficient and fast.

Thank you for sharing Ken. We're thrilled you're appreciating a few of the minor tweaks we made to make the bike easier to ride. -Ryan Zagata

Really happy with the product and service

Needed to replace my white tires for my bike and found out they are hard to find! Grateful for Brooklyn Bikes to dig around and locate a pair.

Thanks so much for sharing. -Ryan Zagata

Great craftsmanship, just very heavy

Quality is very high. Basket is sturdy and looks nice. It adds a TON of weight which I wasn’t expecting.

Thanks for sharing Ryan. We're glad you appreciate the quality ofhte rear crate. When using durable wood, it does add a bit of weight to the rear of the bike. -Ryan Zagata

Red Hoodie

I luv the hoodie design and fit. (They run a bit large, so I was able to return mine for a medium.

Only knock is the zipper, which is stiff, and difficult to start (at the bottom). Works ok once I get it 'unstuck.'

Thank you for sharing Paul. -Ryan Zagata

Excellent Customer Service

I liked the lights as they held a long charge and the differing light settings. I purchased a set for my wife. The red light turned off intermittently. Once made away of the issue, Ryan immediately sent a replacement! Thank you

Thank you for sharing Roland and thank you for allowing us to address your issue. -Ryan Zagata

Franklin 8

We recently purchased and received our new Franklin 8 along w/ the Bedford 8 bicycles and are extremely satisfied. We're avid bike riders and have purchased other bikes (Driggs 3) from Brooklyn Bicycle Co in the past with similar satisfaction not only in the quality of the bikes, the delivery process and customer service along the way. Their bikes are very smooth and comfortable to ride on the streets and network of paved bike trails around our city in Columbus, Ohio. We'd definitely highly recommend the Brooklyn Bicycle Company's line of bikes to anyone who's looking for quality comfortable bikes for a great value.

Thanks so much for sharing Scott. We are thrilled to have you in teh Brooklyn Bicycle Co. family - all three of you. -Ryan Zagata

Good value in this pair of rechargeable Uptown Lights!

These lights Mount with a built-in clip or use included rubber straps. My headlamp is strapped around the handlebars, taillight strapped around the rear post. Charge lasts pretty long, visibility seems good, 4 operating modes- kinda what I wanted. Shipped fast. I just rebuilt an old fixy with new rear wheel so it’s got coaster brake! I’m too old for that fixy/hipster scene. Anyway - low cost and good performance from Brooklyn Bicycle!
Mike

Awesome!

Crate is everything as advertised- stylish, sturdy, and super useful. It does add some weight to the back of my bike- only an issue going up and down stairs in my Brooklyn apartment. I couldn’t be happier with my Brooklyn bike or crate. 5 stars!✨ ✨

We are so glad you're loving this updated iteration of our ever-popular rear crate. The photo of the crate on our Franklin 3 is amazing. We're thrilled to have you as part of the Brooklyn Bicycle Co. family. - Ryan Zagata

Expensive for a wooden box but it looks great

Thank you so much George. We are glad the crate has such visual appeal. The cost is due to the engineering and design efforts required to ensure it perfectly fits on a bike and remains attractive for years to come. -Ryan Zagata
